Teardrops



When tears of sorrow and suffering

Crash down in thunderous waves,

Lift your eyes to Heaven's light

Where shines Christ's glorious rays.

For from on high, the sun shines true

Though darkness clouds the eye;

And in each dreary teardrop day

The Son of God is nigh.

For in these prisms GLORY shines

God's promises divine,

Gleaming jewels of priceless worth

Woven in faith's skies

The dazzling jewels of shining light,

Faith yearns deeply to display,

Are reflections of Christ's glory

In the teardrops He arrays.

Faithful Grace

Only Jesus

Precious Lord Jesus, in You there is fullness of joy! At Your right hand there are pleasure forevermore!  Yet for so long, I have dwelt in darkness thinking that this joy and pleasure was somehow out of my reach. Wrongly did I think that if only I could read my Bible enough, pray enough, memorize enough Bible verses, search my motives and empty every action of pride enough, and do all in my power to meet all the standards in Your Word---then perhaps I would be able to walk with You like Enoch, be Your friend like Abraham, see Your glory like Moses, be a person after your own heart like David, be greatly loved by You like Daniel, and somehow when I reach Heaven's shores I would be special to You and not just one of the faces in Heaven's vast throng of Saints. The Everlasting Word

                   The glorious truth shines forth from Scripture that the Word of God stands forever. Life on earth is a vapor that will soon pass away, but the promises of God found in the Bible will never fade. “The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God will stand forever” (Isaiah 40:8). Along with God’s Word standing firm forever is the beautiful promise that His love also endures forever. “…the steadfast love of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear Him…” (Psalm 103:17).  These Bible verses inspired me to write this poem, and I hope and pray that God uses it to point all who read it to the glorious truth that Jesus Christ is the Everlasting Word of God and that His love for His people endures forever. God's Faithful Love

I search the darkest pools of night, For a beam of glorious light. As my soul waits in faith to see, A fragment of Your love for me. .    .    .    .    . I wait and wait and wait in vain For light to shine and love to gain. Tear filled eyes meet the earth's cold touch As doubts and fears hold me in their clutch. .    .    .    .    . Yet Grace and Truth whisper in the breeze: "Should not God's promises you seize? In this moment of faltering faith, Lean all the more upon His grace." .    .    .    .    .
